Guangdong Nafei and Hunan Nafei: who does what
Two companies sit behind this product line, and buyers usually deal with both. Knowing which one answers which question saves a week of email.
- Guangdong Nafei Industrial Co., Ltd. (Shanwei, established 2006) is the manufacturing site. It holds the converting equipment, the GMP workshop environment, product development, sampling and inspection, and it runs the production schedule. It also owns the Nafei brand.
- Hunan Nafei Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (Changsha, established 2017) is the commercial side. It takes the brief, proposes product and packaging, coordinates samples and artwork, handles export documents and transport, and follows up after shipment. It operates the Nafei brand under authorization and runs its own brands LANCOOL, Naxiaorou and Naxiaoshuang.
The split matters for due diligence: factory audit, workshop evidence and production records belong to Guangdong Nafei; quotation scope, order administration and shipping documents belong to Hunan Nafei. Ask each question of the right entity and the answers reconcile.
What we manufacture
Disposable menstrual pants for day use, overnight, heavy flow, postpartum and plus-size programs; sanitary pads and panty liners; and disposable underwear for travel, hotel, spa and maternity channels. Product development covers size range, surface material, core structure, absorbency planning and packaging.
Menstrual pants platforms
A platform is a construction family — it fixes the core build, waist type and size map before artwork and pricing. Most briefs start by picking one platform, then adjusting materials or packaging on top of it. Sizes listed are the current platform range; the final size map is confirmed against the approved sample.
| Light & Breathable | L / XL / XXL | Breathable construction, with a separate XXL build rather than a scaled-up L |
|---|---|---|
| Cooling & insert | L / XL | Cooling option or alternative insert, selected per market |
| Dry & Thin | L / XL | Wood pulp plus SAP core for a thin profile |
| Easy-Fit side-opening | L / XL | Refastenable side tabs, opens flat |
| Stretch fabric | M / L / XL | Stretch-fabric waist instead of an elastic band |
| Thin & comfortable | M-L / XL | Soft nonwoven waist, lighter overall hand-feel |
| Black | M / L / XL / XXL | Black outer panels, same absorbent build |
Sanitary pads and panty liners
Five surface and core series, each with its own nominal length ladder. Nominal length is the label figure; approve the actual dimension with the sample, because stock labels and OEM specifications do not always match.
| Standard hot-air | 155 / 245 / 290 / 350 mm | Hot-air nonwoven surface, absorbent build by size |
|---|---|---|
| Bamboo-fiber topsheet | 180 / 240 / 290 / 360 / 420 mm | Perforated bamboo-fiber topsheet over a layered absorbent-paper core |
| Bubble Cotton | 190 / 245 / 290 / 360 mm | Double-layer pearl-textured surface, adhesive-free core |
| Organic cotton topsheet | 180 / 245 / 290 mm | 35 gsm organic cotton topsheet, composite absorbent-paper core |
| Manyu soft care | 155 / 180 / 245 / 290 / 420 mm | Willow-leaf-textured hot-air surface, layered paper core |
Two naming notes that cause confusion in quotes: “organic cotton” describes the topsheet only, not the whole product; “Bubble Cotton” is a series name, and “adhesive-free” refers to the core, not the wing adhesive.
Use-case variants buyers ask for
Platforms describe how a pant is built; use-case variants describe when it is worn. The same platform can serve several use cases, so most briefs pick one of each. These are the variants buyers ask for most often:
- Overnight period pants — extended core and a higher back panel for sleep-through use.
- Heavy flow menstrual pants — thicker core and a wider absorbent area for high-volume days.
- Ultra thin menstrual pants — reduced thickness for day wear under close-fitting clothing.
- Side open menstrual pants — tear-open side seams for maternity and bed-bound use.
- Leakproof period pants — standing leak guards and a wider side gather.
- Plus size menstrual pants — extended waist and hip range on the same construction.
- Postpartum disposable underwear — high waist and soft top sheet for the first weeks after delivery.
- Breathable menstrual pants — breathable back sheet for humid climates and long wear.
The full category page is disposable menstrual pants; adjacent constructions are covered under cooling and odor control.
Three customization routes
Most projects fall into one of three levels. Cost, lead time and minimum quantity move with the level, so it is worth settling the route early.
| 01 Existing product + your packaging | Pick an existing construction and change the retail packaging. Fastest route; the product specification stays as approved. |
|---|---|
| 02 Platform changes | Customer-logo backsheet printing, approved insert options, packaging and other compatible changes while the base construction stays intact. |
| 03 Further product development | Materials, absorbent construction, fit or shape, colours, individual wrapping, retail bags and outer cartons. Tooling, material purchases and minimum quantities follow the project. |
Packaging options
Digital printing suits smaller packaging runs; conventional printed PE or laminate bags suit established volumes; customer-supplied bags are accepted when they are compatible with the line. Cooling products need an appropriate sealed barrier pack. Bag minimums and finished-product minimums are quoted separately, which is why two suppliers can quote the same product at very different unit prices.
OEM and private label support
Programs cover specification review, sample development, artwork and packaging discussion, private label bags, boxes and cartons, quality tracking and export coordination. Buyers share target market, size range, absorbency scenario, packaging plan and estimated quantity to receive sample discussion and factory-direct quotation.
Program pages: OEM and ODM, private label, wholesale supply, and the MOQ guide for how order volume interacts with unit cost.
Quality and evidence
Material review, in-line inspection and finished-product checks are part of the production workflow, and performance testing covers absorption, rewet, leak guard, bonding and packaging. Buyers can request material disclosure, test reports, sample approval records and quality system documentation. Figures such as production base area, line count and annual capacity are company-reported and should be verified during due diligence.
The production sequence a buyer can audit: topsheet, absorbent materials, backsheet, elastic components and packing materials are matched to the approved specification; the absorbent area is formed against the approved size; waist elasticity, leg opening and side structure are checked against the size map and approved sample; then individual wrapping, retail bag, carton marking and shipping documents are confirmed before release. Inspection records stay linked to the order lot, which is what makes a complaint traceable months later.
