Request a Quote for Disposable Menstrual Pants

A vague RFQ receives vague quotes. The more precisely you describe the product, quantity and delivery terms, the more accurately suppliers can price — and the easier it is to compare one quote against another.

Product specification

Include at least the following in every RFQ:

  • Product type. Overnight, heavy flow, ultra-thin, plus-size, cooling, side-open or postpartum. Each has different core and chassis requirements.
  • Absorbency target. State the test method (e.g. ISO 11948-1 modified or Edana WSP 242.2) and the minimum result you will accept. "High absorbency" means different numbers to different factories.
  • Size range and dimensions. Waist stretch min/max, chassis length, core length and width. Provide a size chart or reference sample.
  • Materials. Topsheet type (spunbond, thermal-bond, apertured film), core composition (SAP brand and ratio, fluff pulp source), backsheet type (breathable PE, laminated cloth-like). If you are open to alternatives, say so and state the performance thresholds the alternative must meet.
  • Packaging. Individual wrap yes/no, pouch material, carton count, master carton dimensions and weight, barcode symbology, language requirements.

Quantity & packaging

State the quantity per SKU per shipment and the annual volume. Suppliers need this to choose between existing stock materials (faster, cheaper) and custom-ordered materials (longer lead time, higher MOQ).

If you are testing the market, say so. Some suppliers will quote a trial lot on standard materials even if their normal MOQ is higher.

Delivery terms

  • Incoterm. FOB, CIF, DAP or EXW. FOB is common for sea freight; DAP is useful if you do not have an import broker.
  • Destination port or warehouse. Affects freight cost and transit time.
  • Required delivery window. Seasonal products need tighter windows. Be explicit about whether the date is production completion, vessel departure or warehouse arrival.
  • Payment terms. Common structures: 30 % deposit, 70 % against copy of B/L; or letter of credit for first orders.

Comparing quotes

Do not compare on unit price alone. A lower price may reflect:

  • Thinner core or lower SAP loading
  • Standard materials instead of the specified grade
  • Exclusions you assumed were included (individual wrap, master-carton labels, inspection)

Build a comparison matrix with rows for each specification point and columns for each supplier. Mark "included" or "not included" for every cell. The quote with the most green cells at a mid-range price is usually safer than the cheapest quote with gaps.

How to prepare a sanitary pants RFQ that gets a usable answer

A sanitary pants request a quote answered in one line is usually a sign that the enquiry did not contain enough to price, not that the supplier is lazy. A disposable menstrual pants RFQ form that covers the five fields below saves a full round trip, because every one of them changes either the material cost or the setup cost.

  1. Build. Pull-up or side-open, and whether the waistband is elasticated. This decides which line the enquiry goes to.
  2. Size range and grading. Every size you intend to sell, with the measurements you will hold the supplier to.
  3. Pack format. Pieces per inner bag, bags per carton, and whether the pouch is printed.
  4. Quantity. Total, and the split across sizes. A total alone cannot be costed against a size curve.
  5. Destination and date. Both change the answer, because documentation and shipping terms follow the market, not the product.

A menstrual pants RFQ requirements list usually runs to one page. Anything beyond that page is negotiation rather than specification, and putting negotiation in the first enquiry tends to produce a defensive price rather than a competitive one.

Once the quotes are in, use the same period pants quote comparison template across every supplier. If each supplier is compared on its own form, the differences you end up studying will be differences in format rather than differences in price — and the gap that matters, which is what each one assumed about core weight and carton size, will be the one line missing from the comparison.
