Wholesale order planning
A wholesale order for disposable menstrual pants is defined by more than a piece count. Before requesting quotations, fix the product type (day use, overnight, plus size and so on), the size mix, the pack format and the artwork status. Suppliers price the program, not a single SKU, so a complete brief produces a comparable quote.
MOQ and quantity
Minimum order quantities vary with packaging complexity, size mix and whether artwork is custom. Private label programs with printed bags usually carry higher MOQs than plain bulk packaging. Sample orders are separate and smaller. Ask what drives the MOQ in your case - it is often packaging setup, not production capacity.
Packaging and cartons
Common formats: individual wrappers, retail bags of several pieces, boxes and export cartons. Carton dimensions and pallet fit affect freight cost, so confirm carton marks, packing list detail and pallet arrangement before shipping. Barcode placement and market-language labelling should be checked against the destination market.
Samples
Order samples before bulk. Review feel, fit, leak guards, packaging and labelling. Sample approval should be recorded in writing, because the approved sample is the reference for bulk production.
Shipping terms and documents
Common trade terms include FOB, CIF, EXW and DDP; agree which applies before pricing, because each shifts cost and risk differently. Typical documents include the commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading or air waybill. Hygiene products are usually shipped as standard consumer goods, but destination-market import rules should be checked for your country.
Comparing quotes
Compare quotes on the same basis: product specification, size mix, pack count, packaging, trade term and payment terms. A lower piece price with a higher MOQ or costlier packaging is not automatically cheaper. A simple comparison table prevents surprises.
